![]() ![]() But a sequel as a mobile game was just about the biggest slap in the face they could’ve possibly done to us. This is just something I’m extremely passionate and upset about. And now look what the industry has become: a shell of its former self. Late 2000’s to early 2010’s was one of the greatest periods in gaming we have ever had with AC, COD, DS, ME and many more games. ![]() And then Activision which used to make some of the greatest FPS games in history in addition to other miscellaneous, solid titles like Prototype has now devolved into the most insulting publisher of all. EA which used to make masterpieces like Mass Effect and Dead Space has fallen so far that they simply don’t even make games that are strictly singleplayer anymore as there is no recurring revenue for them. ![]() Ubisoft which used to make gems like the Ezio Assassin’s Creed games has now fallen to predatory microtransactions. So yeah, they have clearly taken the crown and it’s disappointing af to see what this industry has become. They have turned COD into pay-to-win with microtransactions and have taken a game like Black Ops 4 and monetized it more than free-to-play games! Meanwhile, Activision basically doesn’t make other games at this point because that would cost money and not see as much of a booming return like COD. And last but CERTAINLY not least, you have Activision which has slowly and sneakily become the worst of all. Hell even SINGLEPLAYER games have microtransactions with Ubisoft like Assassin’s Creed! Then you have EA with their pay-to-win sports games cash cow. Ubisoft with live service games and their never ending microtransactions. Unfortunately the unholy trinity of game companies chase lowest effort and cost with maximum profit nowadays. Battlefront 2 is actually a fantastic game nowadays but yeah they really ruined it at launch. ![]()
